my lovely friend, karolina gnatowski took these photos for me near her home in logan square, chicago. i remember passing by this hardware store thinking to myself, "now that's a really resourceful, yet in-your-face way to advertise products". kinda reminds me of those grocery store coupon catalogs that still have illustrations of items instead of photographs. (notice how in the second pic, the truck almost looks as flat as the building)
